Nature has been the greatest gift to man. Everything that we need to survive has already been provided to us, and all we have to do is take advantage of it.

Solar power or the electricity generated from the heat of the sun, has become our greatest source of electric power. Hydroelectric energy is also one of the sources of electricity that we need to do our daily activities. However, with that source depending largely on the amount of rainfall that the earth receives, not all the parts of the world benefits from it. Only a few countries take a share of the rainfall being provided to us every year. As a solution to the problem of the other countries, the solar power was then discovered.

Today a great many countries are taking advantage of the amount of sunlight being distributed to the earth’s surface. It was said that almost 1,000 times of the world’s total energy consumption. Imagine that! Indeed, man has been endowed with the skills to survive. The amount of sunlight a country receives has not become a hindrance to the daily activities the people need to perform, but rather it has become one great source of the energy that they need every day.

Many countries have been spending billions in installing solar power plants. They know that their investments will pay them off a great sum in the end. With the use of this to supply all the energy needs in a country, the amount of money spent before on artificial energy use will be cut off.  Using solar power is also very useful on the environment. This is considered as an environmentally – friendly approach. No poisonous gases will have to be omitted, which will cause severe destruction to the environment; unlike, of course, when artificial energy sources are used.

Since the year 2008, almost 0.02 percent of energy has been supplied using solar power. Experts say that the numbers continue increasing every year – even doubling or tripling the figures. If more and more countries will adapt solar power to supply their energy needs, it is never impossible that this energy source will dominate the entire world.

Several solar power stations have been constructed in different parts of the world. Today, different governments in different countries have been giving out financial incentives to entice people to install solar energy panels even in their homes. Many more discoveries have been made yearly to improve the use of solar energy to produce electrical power.

Solar power is indeed the best energy source that man could ever use. We will never find scarcity of solar supply because the sun is always efficient with its work. You may think that the solar power can no longer be used at night time. Wrong. In fact, the energy can be stored. Energy storage has become a great invention of man. When the solar energy is available, it is stored for future use. Solar power is something that we are certain can provide us with what we need. Unless, of course, when the sun stops shining.

Solar power can produce the electricity of the entire planet with the right investments. It could relieve us from the dependence in foreign fossil oil.
